On Sunday, June 10th, TSLC will be hosting a Law Enforcement vs. Civilian Soccer Tournament at the Ed Ford Sports Complex (formerly Caven Point field) on 1 Chapel Avenue in Jersey City beginning at 3pm. All proceeds of the tournament will benefit the U.S. Soccer Heroes.
Here are the exciting details of the event:
When: Sunday, June 10th (rain or shine).
Where: Ed Ford Sports Complex (formerly Caven Point field) located at 1 Chapel Avenue in Jersey City. This is a high quality turf field offering exceptional play.
What Time: Honor Guards perform at 2:45pm. Kickoff is at 3:00pm. Final match projected for 8:20pm.
Who Can Play: Any adult 21+ (certified law enforcement and first responders are eligible to play for law enforcement group. Any civilian, age 21+ is eligible to play for adult civilian team). Coed optional.
Team Fee: $300 per team, payable on the day of the tournament or before
Prizes: Winning team takes home championship trophy plus a $500 cash prize

Tournament Format:
- 7 vs 7 (including goalkeeper)
- Turf field (no METAL cleats – TURF soccer shoes only or sneakers)
- 2 groups – law enforcement & first responders in group one/civilians are in group two – top team from each group meet in the final match
- All regular matches are 30 minutes in length – one half. The final match is 35 minutes – one half
- All players must be 21+
- Coed is optional
- All matches professionally refereed
- FIFA rules apply
- No slide tackle/no offside
- In the case there is a tie at the final match at the end of regulation play, a full five minutes of overtime play will apply, no sudden death, then a shootout (if necessary)
