The special charity auction to help benefit the children impacted by the Easter Day fire in Jersey City ended today with great results – over $700 has been added to the academy’s efforts to help the families in need.  “I’m so grateful to everyone who went to our auction site on Ebay and bid for our summer camp spots,” said Coach Alex Lalaoui of The Soccer Learning Center and U.S. Soccer Heroes.  “We will be donating 100% of the proceeds of the auction and I’m really pleased with the outcome.”

Throughout last week, donations continued to be dropped off at The Soccer Learning Center academy.  Barbara Harris (shown in the photo) from Short Hills heard about the drive through a friend’s email and came to Jersey City to make her special clothing donation.  Several pick-up truckloads of items have already been collected.  Our clothing drive will end on Sunday, April 15th.
