During weather that was more fit for geese than goals, Hudson County Corrections won a close game last Sunday against ICE, propelling them to the top spot in the NJ Heroes League. Scoring for the Corrections team were Joe Menendez (#91) with one goal and Chad Manzo (#95) and Danny Silva (#17) each scored two big goals for the night. Tim O’Connor (#10), Manzo and Silva showed performed outstanding combination plays to achieve the win.
ICE worked hard despite being short of a few of their key players. Scoring three goals for the night was their MVP player, Scott Cunninghan (#13), whose exceptional long, left foot shots helped add up points for the team. Team Captain Ken Genalo scored the remaining goal for ICE.
