It was an incredible soccer Sunday double header at Jersey City’s Cochrane Stadium on Sunday, Septmber 19th as the ICE and JCFD both pulled out big wins in the NJ Heroes League.
ICE faced Hoboken PD in a make-up match that left the Mile Square City’s Finest crushed in a 7 to 1 defeat. Vito Gigante (#10) scored the only goal for Hoboken for the night, while ICE answered back with a resounding three goals from Scott Cunningham (#13), two goals from Will DeSantos (#16), and one goal each by Kenny Genalo (#14) and David Canica (#4).
JCFD brought their goal scoring excellence to the field with a hard-fought match against Hudson County Corrections which they won with a score of five to three. James Pappas (#9) and Wilson Carrera (#13) both scored two goals each for the JCFD. James Casella (#37) scored one goal for Jersey City’s Bravest.
Marc Martins (#12) put in an excellent effort for HC Corrections scoring two goals. Joe Menendez (#91) scored one goal for the night.
